We are the World Ond Day Cricket Champions....

The day for which I so dreamed has finally arrived... We have won the Cricket World Cup... Thank God and "God" for it :)

Mom Oh Mom...

Mothers are simply amazing. Was just surfing through the channels trying to find something other than the cricket talks that is engulfing each n every media space, where people of any intelluct has an expert opinion on the Indian cricket team. Its World Cup final today between India & SriLanka.

So I landed on one such channel which was airing Sehwag's Mom's interview. The intervieweer asked her what was the last thing she said to Sehwag when he called , to which she replied "Beta kal kuch kar liyo (Son, do atleast something tomorrow) ".

This reminded of the time when I called my mom from college telling her I have topped my semester and her first remark was "You have passed in every subject right?".In her defence, in that semester we had a tough paper in which many people flanked. But the anxious tone she had with which she doubted despite me telling that I topped was so similar to what Sehwag's mom had when she said that.

I am not comparing our talents (as if I have any as compared to Sehwag) but to our Moms may be we are the same. Sehwag with his reputation and performance itself demoralizes the opposition without even touching a single ball and here his Mother asking him with a doubt in her mind that her son is not doing anything.

They are our biggest supporter and perhaps our biggest critic too....

This year something strange is happening in my life.

Whenever something good or rather best starts happening in my life, I think of sharing the joy with you people but due to my bad habit of losing sheen of things that I think or see over twice, I somehow fail in writing that.

Like I said about my habit, sometimes I read a joke which I find really funny and think of sharing with others but by the time I copy paste it on the compose box or type on my cell phone, it loses all its charm and I feel it ain't that funny and discard the typed stuff.

So like I was saying, this year few things happened which were really worth sharing at their moment of occurence, but before I could finally get myself to write them out they completely changed color.

And had it happened just once I would have discarded them as one off incidence but they have become so frequent that I have to notice.

Say for example yesterday when India was batting as always I was feeling tensed and critical of God for the way he was batting but yet again he amazed me and showed why he is the greatest player ever. The way he batted in the middle overs, hitting sixes at ease when least expected, again demonstrated that he will never be done with showing something new every time he goes out. I know I owe numerous blog posts to him for what he has done for me and my happiness but that will still have to wait.

So I logged on to my laptop and thought of sharing this on blog but again somehow I procastinated and see what happened. We played such an awful game that I have started to doubt whether we will be able to win it even this time or not.

Like this just at the start of the year, one of friend gave a very good news about himself and we all were really excited and ever since that happened I was dying to share about it on blog and had planned a line of posts related to it but after delaying it for a while when I finally decided to go ahead everything falled apart..same happened with another friend.....and trend continues....

Its been so long since I wrote anything. And I have so many things to write about starting from the Hockey World Cup match I twice went to see, then there is the IPL match I saw at Ferozshah Kotla, New Delhi, where I watched God play cricket from so close. Then there is the trip to Orchcha, Khajaraho and Bandhavgarh. Then the regular updates on the book I am reading. Also my observation on certain incidents that happened around me. Many naughty and serious things. Etc etc ... 

Although more than lack of motivation it was due to lack of interest and at times means because of which I have not written anything. Although I was busy with office work but I believe you are never busy for the things you want to do ...

Anyways in mood today to write about certain things .... :)
